Everything you need to know about BingoLab: from your first cards to printing and playing in class.
- Choose what goes on the cards, for example Pictures and the Animals set.
- Pick a card size. For ages 3+ we recommend 3 × 3, for school children 4 × 4; classic bingo is 5 × 5.
- Set the number of cards, one per player.
- Click “Download PDF” and print it on card stock at actual size.
- Hand out the cards and open the caller, or cut out the calling slips and draw them from a bag.
- Every child gets one card and a marker, buttons or counters.
- The caller shows (and names) one item. Whoever has it on their card marks it.
- The first to complete the pattern, say a full line, shouts BINGO!
- Type the card number (printed in the corner) into the caller and you see at once whether the child really won.
- For the youngest, play for a full 3 × 3 card: everyone wins, just some sooner.
- With Maths the caller shows e.g. 3 + 4 and the children look for the answer 7. Each answer is in the game only once.
- With Letters choose “Caller A, card a”: children match a capital to its small letter.
- In the generator click “Open the caller”. It picks up exactly the game you printed.
- Draw the next item with the button or the space bar; the left arrow goes back.
- “Auto” draws by itself at the pace you choose; “Read aloud” uses the browser’s voice.
- Full screen is handy on a projector or interactive whiteboard.
Yes. The cards, the PDF, the caller and online play are free and need no sign-up. The site is supported by ads and voluntary donations.
At least as many as a card has squares: 9 for 3 × 3, 16 for 4 × 4 and 25 for 5 × 5 (one fewer with a free square). For cards that differ from each other we recommend half as many again, e.g. 25 pictures for 4 × 4 cards.
Yes. Every card has a different layout and, as far as the number of items allows, a different selection. Every card has its number in the corner.
The star in the middle of 3 × 3 and 5 × 5 cards. It counts as already marked, so a bingo comes a little sooner.
The link holds all the game settings. Whoever opens it sees exactly the same cards, so a caller on another computer can check printed cards too. Your own pictures do not travel with the link; on another device they show as numbers.
No. Pictures and PDF creation stay entirely in your browser. Your draft is stored only in your browser.
In classic 1–75 bingo each column of a 5 × 5 card has its own range: B 1–15, I 16–30, N 31–45, G 46–60 and O 61–75. So the caller announces e.g. “B 12”.
Card stock (160–250 gsm) at actual size. To reuse the cards, laminate them and mark with a dry-erase pen or counters.
Yes. On the Play online page you mark your own card against the computer and opponents, or just mark it while a teacher calls.
Yes, for educational and personal use without limits. With your own pictures, make sure you have the rights to them.
